Fall TV Premieres

The fall is finally here and you know what that means… TV SHOW PREMIERES! I have a few shows that I’m looking forward to coming back for new seasons and I thought I’d talk about it with you! Agents of Shield By the time that this post goes up I’ll have already seen the season 3 premiere but as I’m writing this I’m still waiting for the episode. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of the show but I do get enough enjoyment out of watching it to keep up with the show. Once Upon a Time I have not actually seen the finale of season 4 from the spring but I have heard enough of what happened to jump in with season 5. I watched the premiere on Sunday and really enjoyed it! I’m interested to see how Jennifer Morrison plays Emma as a darker, more villainous character— it’s different, refreshing, and I can’t wait to see more! Arrow and the Flash I’m just going to talk about these two in one section. I’m excited for both of these but it’s a different type of excitement for each— fo

Goodreads Monday! More than This

Image
Hello and welcome to Goodreads Monday! A weekly meme hosted by Forever Reading where we feature books that we added to our TBR thinking we’d read them, but we never did. A boy named Seth drowns, desperate and alone in his final moments, losing his life as the pounding sea claims him. But then he wakes. He is naked, thirsty, starving. But alive. How is that possible? He remembers dying, his bones breaking, his skull dashed upon the rocks. So how is he here? And where is this place? The street seems familiar, but everything is abandoned, overgrown, covered in dust. What's going on? Is it real? Or has he woken up in his own personal hell? Seth begins to search for answers, hoping desperately that there must be more to this life, or perhaps this afterlife... -goodreads.com More than This by Patrick Ness Published on September 10 th 2013 Was added on December 16 th 2013 Check it out onGoodreads!

I'm Still Here!

HELLO READERS! I’m so sorry for my long absence but I’m still trying to sort things out with school and color guard. I need to set a schedule for myself to post so that I can keep up with it but the sad truth is that I haven’t been reading as much as I should. I used to always get my reading done during the school day and now I’m getting my homework done during the school day, which is good because I can get to sleep earlier, but is also bad because I have a lot less time to read. The reason I’m posting this is becaue I want to tell you that I’m going to create a schedule for myself— on Monday I’m going to continue with the Goodreads Monday meme and on Wednesday I’m going to post a discussion. The discussion could be about books, TV, movies, or life… it just depends what mood I’m in that day. This schedule is just until November and then color guard is over and posting will go back to normal. And if I have a not busy week I’ll posts more than twice a week, it all just depends!

Unpopular Opinion Book Tag

Image
Hello readers! The Unpopular Opinion Book Tag was created by The Book Archer. I was not tagged by anybody but I saw the tag on Novels and Necklaces’s blog and thought I’d give it a shot!   Popular book or series that you didn’t like If you follow my Instagram then you might’ve heard me talk about this one before but I’m just not a fan of The 5 th Wave . The book had such promise and I was so hyped to read it but it fell flat by page 50 with its confusing writing style and (honestly) just flat out depressing plot. Popular book or series that everyone else seems to hate but you love This is kind of a cheat since not everyone hated Fractured but it does seem to be the least favorite of the Slated trilogy, meaning the fact that it’s my favorite puts me in a small minority. I felt that the plot was a different twist from Slated while still building on the plot and character that we met in the first book. Love triangle where the main character ended up with th

Les Misérables Part One Discussion

Image
Hello my fellow readers!!! As most of you know, I recently finished part one of Les Misérables (titled Fantine) and I really enjoyed it! Of course this is only part of a story so I will be talking about it as that— a part for the story to build off of. I was very excited to start Les Mis after having listening to the Broadway show music on repeat and seeing the movie, so I came into this with high expectations, but also knowledge that Victor Hugo does go on tangents. This was great to know since Victor Hugo does in fact like to harp on about things of little relevance to the subject— some of these tangents add to the experience… and some you can just skip. Characters were great, as to be expected, and Victor Hugo spares no page developing them— he takes his SWEET time showing you their EVERY LITTLE inner conflict. Again, at times this is rewarding, but other times it just drags. Overall, I enjoyed reading this first part (even the parts that dragged) and I’m excited to
