The 5th Wave Review

Image
Hey guys and today I’m here to review The 5 th Wave by Rick Yancey, a book about aliens, apocalypse and death… After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one. Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up. – goodreads.com summery Rating I would recommend this book for fans of the SCI-FI or apocalyptic genres. This book has had so much hype surrounding

The 5th Wave Movie News!

Image
Hello guys, so yesterday Rick Yancey posted this on his Instagram… Epp! This is exciting news! The 5 th Wave movie will be released on January 29, 2016! Whew! That’s so far away! But the good news is that they will be taking their time with the project! As of now we don’t have too much information; we have our writer (Susannah Grant) and director (J Blakeson). We also have our Cassie (Chloë Grace Moretz), our Ben (Nick Robinson) and our Evan (Alex Roe). Now I don’t know much about these actors except Chloë Grace Moretz, who was Carrie in the Carrie remake, and is Mia in the If I Stay movie! From what I can tell, she looks great as Mia and I’m excited to see her as Cassie! That’s all the 5 th Wave news we have right now, but I’m excited to see who else joins the cast and where they go with the movie! Who would you like to see join The 5 th Wave cast and who would they play? *All casting information was taken from IMDB.com*

Ten Review

Image
Hey guys it’s Meagan and today I’m here to review Ten by Gretchen McNeil, a book about, murder, suspense, and mystery! “SHHHH! Don't spread the word! Three-day weekend. Party at White Rock House on Henry Island. You do NOT want to miss it. It was supposed to be the weekend of their lives—an exclusive house party on Henry Island. Best friends Meg and Minnie each have their reasons for being there (which involve T.J., the school’s most eligible bachelor) and look forward to three glorious days of boys, booze and fun-filled luxury. But what they expect is definitely not what they get, and what starts out as fun turns dark and twisted after the discovery of a DVD with a sinister message: Vengeance is mine. Suddenly people are dying, and with a storm raging, the teens are cut off from the outside world. No electricity, no phones, no internet, and a ferry that isn’t scheduled to return for two days. As the deaths become more violent and the teens turn on eac

Top 5 Wednesday!

Image
Hello people of the interwebs and today I’m here to do Top 5 Wednesday! Now if you don’t know, Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme started by gingerreadslainey , you can find all the info here . This week’s topic is Top 5 Books that you read because of the interwebs… so let’s get started! 5. Thirteen Reason Why by Jay Asher Now I might’ve still read this without the internet because of school, but I feel like the internet’s love for the book really gave me the push to pick it up on my own (and I’m so glad I did) 4. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken Now I probably would have read this book with or without the internet, but the problem is, without the internet, I wouldn’t have ever heard of it. 3. The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness This is another book that I don’t think I would’ve heard of, if it weren’t for the internet, but I also don’t think I would’ve picked it up if it weren’t for the hype on bookstagram and one of my favorite booktubers (C

July TBR

Image
Hello people of the interweb! Today I’m here to do a July TBR so, let’s get started!              So the first book I hope to get through is The Invisible Wall by Harry Bernstein. I have to read this book for school so I would like to get it out of the way early on in the month. I have already read about 100 pages and I like it so far so I’m excited to see where the book goes!             Next book is Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This book has been on my shelf for a few months now and my friend, who is a huge fan of the series, said I have to read it, so I’m giving it a shot! It looks like a quick read so I’m excited to get into that!             Third book is Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass! I have started this book a few times and I have trouble getting into it. But since everyone loves it, I’m deciding to persevere.  As of posting this, I’ve read up to page 220 so I look forward to finishing that this month!             The fourth and last book I’d like to g

June Rap-up

Image
Hello people! Today I’m here to do a June rap-up!             So I only read two books in June (I know, slow month). The first book was Ten by Gretchen McNeil. I enjoyed Ten enough to say that it was a good one-time read. And I recommend it to anyone who thinks it sounds interesting! The next book I read was We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. I really liked We Were Liars  and I would reread it! I recommend it for anyone!             So that was a quick rap-up! Tomorrow I’ll post my July TBR so you can know what I plan to read this month. Keep reading… By e!

Hello

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Meagan and I look forward to talking about books with you! A little bit about me, for anyone curious, is that I’m 14 (almost 15) years old and going into my sophomore year of high school! Some things I like to do are read (obviously), write, and watch YouTube videos. I also make my own YouTube videos where I review books that you can find HERE . You can also find me on Instagram and Goodreads !                 I made this blog because I have been on bookstagram for a while now and I thought it was about time that I get into the book blogging community! You can expect a variety of different book related posts from me including, book reviews, book discussions, and much more! Everything I read is Young Adult Fiction so you can expect that genre, more specifically; I like to read Dystopian, SCI-FI, Fantasy, paranormal, and sometimes contemporary! Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog and I hope to see you more in
