The Flash Season Two Discussion (Spoilers!)

Image
Of the eight shows I intended to watch this year, I kept up with three of them… And one of those shows was Dance Moms. I apologize, I have failed you.
I APOLOGIZE BUT SPOILERS ARE AHEAD! PLEASE SKIP TO THE OVERALL SECTION OF THE REVIEW IF YOU WISH TO KNOW MY SPOILER FREE THOUGHT OF THIS SEASON!

I originally started watching The Flash because I was a fan of Arrow, and I wanted to understand what was happening during crossover episodes, but I quickly became a fan. Season one started as a more lighthearted show that really found its stride over the course of the episodes. Season two introduced many characters that fans of the comics will recognize and fans of the show will grow to love, and new conflicts that will keep views watching. Season two got more intense than season one, with the villain of Zoom being very intimidating but still a great character. At the beginning of the season, Zoom seemed like just another big bad. But as the season progressed, the viewer learned more about his p…

Summer TBR

Summer is quickly approaching and you know what that mean… REQUIRED READING! *cries*
But in reality I’m actually planning to read some good books this summer. Most of my summer TBR is school related but some of it is books that I’ve been looking forward to reading and am finally getting around to.
Gifted by Jessica George This isn’t for school and I’m actually reading it at the moment. I’m hoping to finish it before I go on vacation next week and you can look forward to a review probably in early June.
Mr Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan This is for school but I’ve heard good things about it so I’m excited. I’ve read about forty pages so far and I’m liking it so I hope it continues to be great!
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini I actually read The Kite Runner during my sophomore year but now I have to read it again. I don’t actually mind reading The Kite Runner twice because I really liked the book and I think I’m going to like it even more the second time.

I’M GETTING BACK IN THE GROOVE! *Funky music playing*
Seventeen-year-old Serena isn’t human. She is a bad blood, and in the city of Vendona, bad bloods are executed. In the last moments before she faces imminent death, a prison guard aids her escape and sparks a revolt. Back on the streets determined to destroy her kind, Serena is spared by a fellow bad blood named Daniel. His past tragedies are as equally mysterious as her connection to them.
Unbeknownst to the two, this connection is the key to winning the election for bad bloods’ rights to be seen as human again. But Serena is the only one who can secure Vendona’s vote. Now, Daniel must unite with her before all hope is lost and bad bloods are eradicated, even if it means exposing secrets worse than death itself. United or not, a city will fight, rain will fall, and all will be threatened by star-crossed love and political corruption. –goodreads.com summary

I'm Back!

HELLO PEOPLE! Guess who’s back? :)
I’m finally back from my half hiatus thing and back in the groove of posting! You can expect about two posts a week this week and next week until the week after when I have something special planned that I will go into more detail about in another post. During my hiatus I completed one book (review coming soon) and wrote a few short stories. I am now also almost done with the school year so posts will finally be able to get back to normal (I just have to make it past exams). I have a lot of books lined up that I want to read so I think my reading slump is over meaning that reviews can resume and a summer TBR post will happen soon!
