I review all types of Young Adult books and am welcome to receiving Advance copies/review copies! If you would like to send me a book to review please send me a email at thebookforums@gmail.com!

Things I Like to Read

This is a Young Adult book blog so please keep suggestions in that genre! More specifically, I like to read Fantasy, Dystopian, Sci-Fi, paranormal, and contemporary. I don’t normally tend to read non-fiction or historical fiction.

Requests

In the request please include a synopsis, book cover, and link to either Amazon or Goodreads.

Reviews

I give my honest opinion in my reviews. I will not be rude, but I will tell the truth on how I felt about a book. Reviews will be posted here, and on my Goodreads, if there is somewhere else (for example, Amazon) that you want me to post my review, just ask! Once a review is up, I will send a link to whoever sent me the book. If I absolutely cannot finish a book I will email whoever sent it to me.

I recently changed the format of my book reviews from a traditional format to one I call “The Good, The Bad, and The Spoilers”. As you can probably tell the reviews are split into three main sections titled “The Good”, “The Bad”, and “The Spoilers” respectively. There are also “Intro” and “Overall” sections for my broader thoughts about why I picked up the book and what I thought of it. Included in the review will be a star rating (1-5) and my choice of a quote from the book

But won’t the spoiler section spoil people who haven’t read the book yet? FEAR NOT! The spoilers will not be mentioned until the end of the review, with a space and asterisks separating it from the rest of the review. If you are an author requesting a book review and you prefer I not include any spoilers, just include that in the review request and I’ll keep that in mind when writing the review!
