Hello people of the interwebs and today I’m here to do Top 5 Wednesday! Now if you don’t know, Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme started by gingerreadslainey , you can find all the info here . This week’s topic is Top 5 books that you didn’t think you’d like, but you did… so let’s get started! The Fault in our Stars by John Green Now I know a lot of you are probably wondering why this book is on my list, and no, it’s not because I have anything against John Green.  It’s because at the time of me reading The Fault in our Stars , I hadn’t read much contemporary. And I didn’t think that contemporary would really be my thing, but boy was I wrong! I loved The Fault in our Stars and while I still don’t consider contemporary to be my favorite genre, I do read in the genre a lot more! The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin It’s not that I didn’t think I would like this book, as much as I just wasn’t sure if it would be my cup of tea. The synopsis didn’t tell too much ...

Vicious Review

Image
Hello guys its Meagan and today I’m here to review Vicious by V. E. Schwab (AKA Victoria Schwab) an AMZANG book about AMAZING AWESOMENESS! Did I mention that it’s amazing? ;) A masterful, twisted tale of ambition, jealousy, betrayal, and superpowers, set in a near-future world. Victor and Eli started out as college roommates—brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. In their senior year, a shared research interest in adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals an intriguing possibility: that under the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary abilities. But when their thesis moves from the academic to the experimental, things go horribly wrong. Ten years later, Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl whose reserved nature obscures a stunning ability. Meanwhile, Eli is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered...

Birthday Haul

Hello guys! So my birthday recently passed and I got some bookish and blogging related things so I thought I’d do a haul for y’all to see!   So, first, I got a signed copy of  Side Effects May Vary  by Julie Murphy. I haven’t read this book yet but I have seen it and heard good things about it. So, I’m excited to read it! Next, I got a copy of  The Infinite Sea  by Rick Yancy! This is what I’m currently reading right now and I’m liking it so far! I’m excited to finish it. Last, and the blog related thing I got, was a camera! I had been saving up all summer and I finally got enough money to buy a good camera! I’m really excited because now I can use it to take nice pictures for y’all! And, once I got the camera, I took a bunch of pictures with it that I wanted to show y’all. You can see those down below… :) Have you read the books mentioned in this post? What did you think? Comment below and tell me and we can discuss!

Ready Player One Review

Image
Hello guys and today I’m here to review Ready Player One by Earnest Cline, a book about video games,  virtual reality, and 80s references. It's the year 2044, and the real world is an ugly place. Like most of humanity, Wade Watts escapes his grim surroundings by spending his waking hours jacked into the OASIS, a sprawling virtual utopia that lets you be anything you want to be, a place where you can live and play and fall in love on any of ten thousand planets. And like most of humanity, Wade dreams of being the one to discover the ultimate lottery ticket that lies concealed within this virtual world. For somewhere inside this giant networked playground, OASIS creator James Halliday has hidden a series of fiendish puzzles that will yield massive fortune — and remarkable power — to whoever can unlock them. For years, millions have struggled fruitlessly to attain this prize, knowing only that Halliday's riddles are based in the pop culture he loved — that of the late t...
