Hello fellow readers! We’ve all know the saying, don’t judge a book by its cover, and we all know that we break this rule. These are some of favorite series covers (the quality of the book has nothing to do with this list). These covers go brilliantly on your shelf and the covers look beautiful together! While I am not a fan of The Mortal Instruments covers, these are much better capturing the beauty and elegance of the era while keeping the main trio the center of the covers. I am specifically talking about the original covers but I love the new ones too. I was actually not a fan of these covers to begin with but wow they have grown on me! All three of these covers are simple, beautiful, and elegant. These are how you do people covers well! Each cover is a different striking color making them look great together on the shelf. Hello my fellow reader and welcome to… MY FIRST BOOK REVIEW IN MONTHS! *cries* Yeah, I’m sorry that book reviews have been so severely lacking but my reading slump has been extreme and now I have finally finished a book— that book being The Rose Society by Marie Lu! The Rose Society was a book that I went into with high expectation. Even thou gh it had been a year since I read the first one I remembered enjoying it and looked forward to enjoying the second book. Did it live up to expectations… well it was a good one-time read. *shrugs* I have to give The Rose Society credit for actually making me interesting reading again. It basically said, ‘he remember these characters you liked from this The Young Elites? They’re in this book! Come read it.’ And I read it and enjoyed it. Characters that I had grown to love from The Young Elites were in the novel again and I enjoyed reading from their point of view again. Wow it has been a while since my last reading update so here we are! Ever since I first heard about the idea for this book I knew I had to pick it up! I have started it and so far it is interesting. I am a fan of Patrick Ness’s Chaos Walking Trilogy so I am excited to see what he does with this idea! I am reading this book for my English class but, surprisingly, I’m enjoying it so far! The writing style s very elegant and descriptive so I’m excited to continue reading. This is what I will be reading as soon as I finish The Rest of Us Just Live Here . I have read a few pages already and so far it seems like it will be dealing a lot with the repercussions from the first one and take a lot of time to develop the characters— needless to say, I’m excited! Hello my fellow reader! This week I ordered two new books from Amazon that I’ve been looking forward to for a while now and they have finally come in the mail! I’ve been waiting for this book since I read The Young Elites and it is finally here! I am excites to see where the story goes after the last book and you’ll probably be hearing more about this book soon! I didn’t actually know that this book was coming out until I went to BookCon and heard about it, but now I’m super excited. Fans of The Diviners have been waiting for a while for this sequel! The Diviners was a great supernatural thriller so I can’t wait to see how this book measures up! I’m excited for this book after having read the Shadow and Bone series. I enjoyed Leigh Bardugo’s writing and this world that she created so I’m excited for this new book! I read A Thousand Pieces of You back when it came out and it was good! I’ve been excited for the sequel since then and I can’t wait to get this beautiful cover on my shelf! After Marie Lu’s amazing Legend trilogy and her even better Young Elites, I am extremely excited for her next book! Everyone has those first books that really get them into reading! And everyone remembers the first book that they binge read. For most people I talk to, those books are Harry Potter , but not for me… I first read the Percy Jackson series back in sixth grade (it was a really popular series in my grade at the time). I took my time with both the first and second book but I flew through the last three books! I loved them so much that immediately after I finished the series I had a huge book hangover and reread the last three books again. This got me excited to read more books. Then in seventh grade, The Hunger Games became popular. I read those books fairly quickly. Then after I finished The Hunger Games series, I looked for similar books on Amazon and that’s how I found the Legend series! I consider myself a big reader of dystopian novels and with so many of them out there it can be hard to find a good one… that’s why I’m giving you my list of CAN’T GO WRONG WITH THESE AMAZZING DYSTOPIAN NOVELS! Fire and Flood by Victoria Scott This is a fast paced adventure with interesting characters and adorable fox creatures! Legend by Maria Lu An insane roller coaster ride of emotions following amazing characters and Marie Lu’s remarkable writing! Slated by Teri Terry  A more mysterious take on dystopia with characters with unknown pasts— Slated takes a more realistic look a dystopia dealing with issues such as terrorism in one of the more terrifying dystopian books that I’ve read.  The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken Another terrifying look on dystopia, this time with kids with powers. Hey guys it’s Meagan and it’s that time of the year… TOP 10 BOOKS OF 2014!!! YAY *APPLAUSE* I tried to keep these books to books that came out in 2014 (except for one book, but I didn’t hear about it until 2014). And for those who don’t know, I’m revealing these two books at a time. So today I will reveal my 6 and 5 choices, then tomorrow I’ll reveal my 4 and 3 choices, and so on… So sit back and enjoy!
