Reading Update... 10/23

Image
Wow it has been a while since my last reading update so here we are! Ever since I first heard about the idea for this book I knew I had to pick it up! I have started it and so far it is interesting. I am a fan of Patrick Ness’s Chaos Walking Trilogy so I am excited to see what he does with this idea! I am reading this book for my English class but, surprisingly, I’m enjoying it so far! The writing style s very elegant and descriptive so I’m excited to continue reading. This is what I will be reading as soon as I finish The Rest of Us Just Live Here . I have read a few pages already and so far it seems like it will be dealing a lot with the repercussions from the first one and take a lot of time to develop the characters— needless to say, I’m excited! Have you read any of the books mentioned above? What were your thoughts on them? Keep Reading… Meagan!

Hello and welcome to Goodreads Monday! A weekly meme hosted by Forever Reading where we feature books that we added to our TBR thinking we’d read them, but we never did. A boy named Seth drowns, desperate and alone in his final moments, losing his life as the pounding sea claims him. But then he wakes. He is naked, thirsty, starving. But alive. How is that possible? He remembers dying, his bones breaking, his skull dashed upon the rocks. So how is he here? And where is this place? The street seems familiar, but everything is abandoned, overgrown, covered in dust. What's going on? Is it real? Or has he woken up in his own personal hell? Seth begins to search for answers, hoping desperately that there must be more to this life, or perhaps this afterlife... -goodreads.com More than This by Patrick Ness Published on September 10 th 2013 Was added on December 16 th 2013 Check it out onGoodreads!

Goodreads Monday! A Monster Calls

Image
Hello and welcome to Goodreads Monday! A weekly meme hosted by Forever Reading where we feature books that we added to our TBR thinking we’d read them, but we never did. The monster showed up after midnight. As they do. But it isn't the monster Conor's been expecting. He's been expecting the one from his nightmare, the one he's had nearly every night since his mother started her treatments, the one with the darkness and the wind and the screaming... This monster is something different, though. Something ancient, something wild. And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor. It wants the truth. -goodreads.com summery A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness Published on September 27th 2011 Added on June 20th 2013 Check it out on Goodreads!

Reading Update

Image
Hey guys it’s about time that I gave you a reading update (I guess this’ll be a monthly thing now). I finished The Knife of Never Letting Go a while ago but I’m just now starting the second book. At the moment I’m about one hundred pages in and I’m excited to read more, I’ve heard great things about this book! I’m starting Les Mis ! After going to New York and seeing Broadway show (sadly I didn’t get to see Les Mis ) I am inspired to read the book that a play was based on. I’m excited to read this book but it’ll probably take a while since I’m going to be reading the unabridged version. Have you read either of the books mentioned above? What did you think about them? Keep reading… Meagan!
