Hey guys I’m back from Book Con!!! Yes! Book Con was a fun adventure! There were sooo many people there and, wow people were lining up for signings hours before they opened! That is the reason that I didn’t actually get any books signed, I just rather go to panels than stand in lines to get my books signed. But I get to attend a lot of panels and listen to people talk which was great! Patrick Ness was hilarious and British (two things I did not know) and now I'm excited for his new book! And the guys from Cinema Sins were great and funny! I was originally planning on going to the Paper Towns panel but I didn’t realize that you had to get a bracelet for that so I went to the Cinema Sins panel instead but I ended up loving the panel! I think my favorite panel of the day was the Me and Earl and the Dying Girl panel because Jesse Andrews is just me in author form! He's quirky and funny and just great! In case you missed it, I’m going to be attending Book Con this Saturday! Of course this means that I’ll be away from my computer for a while so blog posts might slow down for a few days, but that’s not why I’m here! I thought I’d tell you what books I’m bringing with me to Book Con! The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvator The Young Elites by Marie Lu Cinder by Marissa Meyer Panic by Lauren Oliver Paper Towns by John Green I don’t know how many books I’ll be able to get signed but I’m bringing these and a journal to maybe get a few signatures from other authors. Hey guys! So RT Booklovers Convention recently happened in Dallas and Book Con is coming up in New York ; this got me thinking, why do people love book conventions? It’s different reasons for everyone— seeing other readers, meeting authors, talking to authors and other bookworms; when I was thinking I realized that for me it’s because I love meeting authors and fellow bookworms. I love being able to talk to authors because they have actually written a book , something that I dream of doing. It gives me hope that maybe I can write a book! Maybe one day I’ll be like those authors and be signing my own book at a convention. Then I love talking to fellow bookworms because these are people that love the same things as me. I don’t have many IRL friends that are readers so it’s fun when I find friends and people that I can talk to about books to and nerd out about random stuff. Have you ever been to a convention?
