Passenger Review

Image
Hello! Many of you have probably heard someone in the book blogging or booktubing circuit talk about Alexandra Bracken’s new novel Passenger . Everyone is raving about, praising it as another one of Bracken’s great books, but are these praises earned? In one devastating night, violin prodigy Etta Spencer loses everything she knows and loves. Thrust into an unfamiliar world by a stranger with a dangerous agenda, Etta is certain of only one thing: she has traveled not just miles but years from home. And she’s inherited a legacy she knows nothing about from a family whose existence she’s never heard of. Until now. Nicholas Carter is content with his life at sea, free from the Ironwoods—a powerful family in the colonies—and the servitude he’s known at their hands. But with the arrival of an unusual passenger on his ship comes the insistent pull of the past that he can’t escape and the family that won’t let him go so easily. Now the Ironwoods are searching for a stolen object of un...

Christmas Book Haul!

Image
Since I had been posting updates for Bout of Books all last week I never actually got a chance to post a book haul from after Christmas, so her goes nothing! Are you tired of me talking about this book yet? Well sorry… I bought it while I was strolling through Barnes and Noble after Christmas. The cover caught my eye because it had the abandoned New York City Hall subway station on it— after that I couldn’t help but buy the book. Most of you probably know that I’ve already read Lair of Dreams now and there will be a review coming soon! I have been looking forward to this book since it was originally announced! I have been a fan of Alexandra Bracken’s novels since The Darkest Minds series so I have high expectations for Passenger . What I’ve read of it as of now is really good so I am excited to continue reading and see where the story goes. Plus… DO YOU SEE THAT COVER? IT’S GORGEOUS! Yes, I bought the new covers of The Infernal Devices ! I actually had only owned...

Look forward to a review on that coming later this week! Today I started reading Passenger by Alexandra Bracken and read 50 pages. I am extremely excited to continue reading this book because just the few pages that I have read have already gripped me and pulled me into the action— I can’t wait to keep reading! How did Bout of Books go for you (if you participated)? What are you currently reading? Keep Reading… Meagan!
