April Wrap Up and May TBR

Well this is sad… I promise to make myself read more once exams are over. April Reads The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald Current Reads The Martian by Andy Weir The Haters by Jesse Andrews May Reads Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare As you can see, I’m going easy on myself this month since I had such a poor reading month in April. My goal for May is really just to survive, since school is throwing as much work on me as possible. But I promise I’ll survive and I’ll get some reading and writing done! *POSITIVITY* Keep Reading… Elise!

My TBR

I’m the type of person that likes to plan out every aspect of my day, and that aspect of my personality has bled over into when I read. I like to make a plan for reading and have a TBR list for every book that I plan to read a few weeks ahead. Because of this, I thought I’d share some of the books on my upcoming TBR. At the moment I’m reading Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, but once I finish I plan to read… Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah Continue Les Misérables by Victor Hugo Miss Mayhem by Rachel Hawkins Lady Renegades by Rachel Hawkins I don’t know if I’ll get through all the books I mentioned above or when I’ll read them but these are the books that I am looking forward to and planning to read! Have you read any of the books mentioned above? What did you think of them? Keep Reading… Meagan!

HELLO! The Booktube-a-thon will be happening next week from August 3 rd – 9 th and I’m excited! If you don’t know the booktube-a-thon is a week where you read as much as possible. It’s very fun and I encourage you to participate (even if you’re like me and don’t have a Booktube account). As some of you might know, the booktube-a-thon involves challenges that you can fulfill with your reading so now I’m going to list my TBR that I would like to get through next week! Once I get through my school books I will be starting Les Mis and I hope to get at least a few hundred pages into it! This will fulfil...

Goodreads Monday! Partials

Image
Hello and welcome to Goodreads Monday! A weekly meme hosted by Forever Reading where we feature books that we added to our TBR thinking we’d read them, but we never did. Humanity is all but extinguished after a war with Partials—engineered organic beings identical to humans—has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island. But sixteen-year-old Kira is determined to find a solution. As she tries desperately to save what is left of her race, she discovers that that the survival of both humans and Partials rests in her attempts to answer questions about the war's origin that she never knew to ask. Playing on our curiosity of and fascination with the complete collapse of civilization, Partials is, at its heart, a story of survival, one that explores the individual narratives and complex relationships of those left behind, both ...

Goodreads Monday! Thin Space

Hello and welcome to Goodreads Monday! A weekly meme hosted by Forever Reading where we feature books that we added to our TBR thinking we’d read them, but we never did. Ever since the car accident that killed his twin brother, Marshall Windsor has been consumed with guilt and crippled by secrets of that fateful night. He has only one chance to make amends, to right his wrongs and set things right. He must find a Thin Space—a mythical point where the barrier between this world and the next is thin enough for a person to step through to the other side. But, when a new girl moves into the house next door, the same house Marsh is sure holds a thin space, she may be the key—or the unraveling of all his secrets. As they get closer to finding a thin space—and closer to each other—Marsh must decide once and for all how far he’s willing to go to right the wrongs of the living…and the dead. –goodreads.com summary Thin Space by Jody Casella Published in September 10 th 201...

July TBR

Image
Hello people of the interweb! Today I’m here to do a July TBR so, let’s get started!              So the first book I hope to get through is The Invisible Wall by Harry Bernstein. I have to read this book for school so I would like to get it out of the way early on in the month. I have already read about 100 pages and I like it so far so I’m excited to see where the book goes!             Next book is Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This book has been on my shelf for a few months now and my friend, who is a huge fan of the series, said I have to read it, so I’m giving it a shot! It looks like a quick read so I’m excited to get into that!             Third book is Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass! I have started this book a few times and I have trouble getting into it. But since everyone loves it, I’m deciding to persevere. ...
