Unpopular Opinion Book Tag

Image
Hello readers! The Unpopular Opinion Book Tag was created by The Book Archer. I was not tagged by anybody but I saw the tag on Novels and Necklaces’s blog and thought I’d give it a shot!   Popular book or series that you didn’t like If you follow my Instagram then you might’ve heard me talk about this one before but I’m just not a fan of The 5 th Wave . The book had such promise and I was so hyped to read it but it fell flat by page 50 with its confusing writing style and (honestly) just flat out depressing plot. Popular book or series that everyone else seems to hate but you love This is kind of a cheat since not everyone hated Fractured but it does seem to be the least favorite of the Slated trilogy, meaning the fact that it’s my favorite puts me in a small minority. I felt that the plot was a different twist from Slated while still building on the plot and character that we met in the first book. Love triangle where the main character ended up wit...

Top 5 Wednesday... 7/22

Hey guys, welcome to Top 5 Wednesday! If you don’t know what Top 5 Wednesday is then click HERE , if not stay! This week’s topic is top 5 side characters that deserve their own series! Jamie or Stella ( Mara Dyer Trilogy ) Jamie was easily my favorite non-main character from the Mara Dyer Trilogy. He has a way lighting up the darker scenes with his great sense of humor! I would love to read from Jamie’s POV and see how he sees the world and this could be a way to learn more about his character! As for Stella she was just a character that I fell didn’t get used to her full potential I fell there is still SO MUCH that I could learn about her! And I want to know where she went and what she’s doing after the Retribution. Kenji ( Shatter Me Trilogy ) Kenji was one of the tolerable characters in the Shatter Me Trilogy, he’s a fun-loving character with a great sense of humor. I would LOVE to see what he does when he’s not with Juliette and maybe we could learn more about his ch...

Top 5 Wednesday... 6/24

Hey guys, welcome to Top 5 Wednesday! If you don’t know what Top 5 Wednesday is then click HERE , if not stay! This week’s topic is Top 5 characters that we’d like to drown… so this should be fun! The Darkling ( Shadow and Bone ) This fandom loves this character but I JUST DON’T GET IT! He’s EVIL and MANIPULATIVE! I guess we’re all entitled to our own opinions… Amy ( Across the Universe ) I can’t say much about this one because I only read Across the Universe and it was so long ago but I remember barely being able to get through it due to the way Amy was written. To me, she talked like she was six; then she would just make stupid decisions making me dread her POVs… All of the characters in the Shatter Me Series (excluding Kenji) I’m gonna get hate for this but these characters need to get a life other than just fighting over Juliet and being butt-faces. And Juliette, YOU ARE AN INDEPENDENT WOMAN WHO DON’T NEED NO MAN! Ugh, I have very strong thoughts about this ser...

Cover Changes

Hey guys it’s Meagan and today I’m here to talk about something we pretty much all hate… Cover Changes *cringe* So I understand why publishers make cover changes; the original cover wasn’t selling well and they think that a new, flashier cover will attract new readers, but what they don’t realize is that this annoys the current fans because now the series won’t match on their shelf. A few examples of this are The Shatter Me series and the Across the Universe series. Fans have one or two books in one cover style, and then they have to buy the other books in a completely different cover style. I, luckily, came into both of these series after these cover changes happened so my shelf was not affected by them. But a series that has multiple editions of its cover that has affected my shelf is the Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness. I originally had one of the lesser popular hardback covers for the first book and then I asked for the second and third book for Christmas without speci...
