Under-hyped Book of the Week, Week 10
Hey guys welcome to Under-Hyped Book of The Week, Week 10...
This week I'm here to talk about… Unwind by Neal Shusterman
Connor, Risa, and Lev are running for their lives.
The Second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. The chilling resolution: Life is inviolable from the moment of conception until age thirteen. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, however, parents can have their child "unwound," whereby all of the child's organs are transplanted into different donors, so life doesn't technically end. Connor is too difficult for his parents to control. Risa, a ward of the state, is not enough to be kept alive. And Lev is a tithe, a child conceived and raised to be unwound. Together, they may have a chance to escape and to survive. –goodreads.com summery
Now any of you that have followed me for a while now know that
I love this series! But if you’re new here... Hi! I'm Meagan and Unwind if one of my favorite books! There,
now you know! This series is amazing, fast paced and has some of the best
characters I have ever read about! Every character has their own story that
makes you sympathize for them (or hate them... *cough* Starkey... but that's
just me...) the characters are also SO well developed! They change and grow up
so much over the series... it really is amazing! And the writing is different
(but in a good way)... Shusterman switched point of view letting you see the
world from lots of different people's point of view and how they see the
situation. Now that enough rambling right... no? You want more rambling? Ok!
(Just kidding, I'll stop now!) But if you enjoy dystopian books you really need
to pick this one up... it's truly one of the best books I've ever read!
Meagan!
